Fashion Reading List
You may have noticed, but my posts have been a little bit few and far in between lately. That’s because as I write these words, I am overlooking an over-sized turtle pond, just seconds from the ocean shore. I’ve been enjoying a lovely non-NYC vacation, which has made me a bit delinquent with my writing.
One of the best parts about vacation is actually having time to read. Unfortunately, the New York City lifestyle offers of events, work and scheduled activities allows little time for indulgences such as TV, books and sleep.
For TV, there’s TiVo. For sleep, there’s caffeine. Unfortunately, though, there really isn’t a good substitute for reading a great book.
My ever-growing “I want to read these books but have absolutely no time to do so” list, naturally, includes a number of fashionable reads, such as:
If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You by Kelly Cutrone
That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between by Victoria Beckham
Influence by Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen
Gentleman: A Timeless Fashion by Bernhard Roetzel and Guenter Beer
Dressing the Man: Mastering the Art of Permanent Fashion by Alan Flusser
The End of Fashion: How Marketing Changed the Clothing Business Forever by Teri Agins
This list is currently short (and hardly comprehensive), but I figured I should start small! Have you guys read any of these books? What books are on your reading lists?
