Eubiq NY

Those of you who have been reading here for a while know that I love to discover lesser-known New York-based designers, so I was very interested in hearing about Eubiq NY. Eubiq NY was born in 2007 when designer Shirley Lee’s boyfriend couldn’t find a good pair of pants, so she made them! Since then, Eubiq NY has gone on to release collection after collection of high-quality clothes marked by minimalistic and laid-back structured look, with a definite New York City edge.

What I love about the Eubiq NY pieces is how the brand truly doesn’t concern itself with being overly trendy. Instead, the Eubiq NY clothes are so streamlined and well-designed that they can be worn for years, instead of seasons, which is always excellent when investing in fashion.

[side story: I recently attended a party where a boy was wearing an embellished purse as a hat. Not that I'd call this trendy, because I wouldn't, but I much prefer keep it simpler than that]

Inspired by NY street fashion, Eubiq NY manufactures 95% of its garments right here in NYC. When was the last time you could say that about anything you were wearing?

This outfit to the left is basically how I want to look/feel/touch/taste every day in the chilly NY fall. I haven’t gotten to try on Eubiq NY yet (I’ll report back as soon as I do), but it sure looks cozy-chic.

In addition to the online store, you can check Eubiq NY out at bio, King of Greene Street, Camouflage, Charlie & Sam and Beginnings Bleus. You should also check them out on Facebook!

I’m also digging these looks from the Fall 2010 collection:

Let me know what you think – are you into this brand’s look or is it too casual for you?
